Chayil Woman

THE CHAYIL WOMAN Teaching Series

Apostle Jon-Michael McKinney

Proverbs 31 doesn’t reference in its original intent a “virtuous woman”. The
original word in Hebrew is “chayil”. King James had an issue with women in
power, and when the 70 Bible Scholars were hired to translate the Bible in
English from Hebrew and Greek, he sought to dumb down chayil to virtuous.
Chayil - strength, efficiency, wealth, army. able, activity, army, band of men
soldiers, company, great forces, goods, host,

From chuwl; probably a force, whether of men, means or other resources; an
army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength -- able, activity, (+) army, band of men
(soldiers), company, (great) forces, goods, host, might, power, riches, strength,
strong, substance, train,Valorous, prosperous, efficient, strong, giving,
courageous, loyal, creative, powerful, virtuous, generous, wealthy, mighty, force,
diplomatic, reliable, valiant, talented, capable, responsible, God-fearing,
steadfast, kind, active, wise, industrious, artsy, active, brave, energetic, hardworking, patient, industrious, praise worthy, patient, energetic, noble, competent,
trustworthy, self-controlled, selfless….WARRIOR.

Strong’s concordance records Chayil with these 3 key meanings: Power, Wealth
and Army.

Army. -An army,[1] ground force or land force is an armed force that fights
primarily on land. Armies are always divided into various specialties, according
to the mission, role, and training of individual units, and sometimes individual
soldiers within a unit.

Some of the groupings common to all armies include the following:

• Infantry - foot soldiers; primarily fights on foot

• Armour - Armour (Commonwealth English) or armor (American English;
see spelling differences) is a covering used to protect an object, individual, or vehicle from physical injury or damage, especially direct
contact weapons or projectiles during combat, or from a potentially dangerous environment or activity

• Artillery - Artillery is a class of heavy military ranged weapons that launch munitions far beyond the range and power of infantry firearms.

• Signal corps - A signal corps is a military branch, responsible for military
communications (signals). Military communication usually consists
of radio, telephone, and digital communications.

• Military police - In wartime operations, the military police may support the
main fighting force with force protection, convoy security, screening,
rear military reconnaissance, logistic traffic
management, counterinsurgency, and detainee handling.

• Medical corps - A medical corps is generally a military branch or officer
corps responsible for medical care for serving military personnel.

Some key functions of Chayil: Ability for influence, access for wealth creation,
power for significance.

1. The number one assignment of the enemy is to talk you OUT OF these expressions of who God originally announced you to be!

2. The leading tools that the enemy uses to pull a Chayil woman out of these
expressions of God’s announcement over her is offense, fear, lethargy,
shame, lack of discipline (not knowing how to properly use your Chayil status), trend following instead of trend setting (you must ask yourself whether you are following trends or establishing trends….the
difference between a promoter and a pioneer…trend following can be
rooted in rejection).

3. Notice, the word Chayil is before the word woman? Woman is a noun…
Chayil is an adjective.

What is an adjective? It’s a description word. Anything that is described
must first be THOUGHT ABOUT.

A Chayil woman comes from the thought of God FIRST, and is presented to
the SIDE of man NEXT.

She does not find her value, ability and identity in the man she is presented
to….her value, ability and identity is already packaged and then brought TO
the man. (Read Genesis).

Afterwards, her value, ability and identity is DISCERNED, DISCOVERED
and ACCEPTED BY the man…this, as in the legal field, is called reciprocal
discovery (the exchange of evidence or documents by both legal teams
during a court case).

4. A major irritation of a Chayil woman is being with a man who cannot or
does not discern, discover and accept her according to God’s thoughts of
her as compared to man’s attraction towards her.

The lust of a man can block the intended potency of the Chayil woman in
his life. Meaning, his eyes and flesh are on places God’s thoughts are not.

5. The Chayil woman is found. Find – Located, discovered, sought out, cause
to come on (turn her on as in activate her), catch, to come forth. AFFORD.

Notice a man has to find two significant things in scripture: a woman and a
wife.

Ladies: if he can’t speak to the WOMAN in you, he will struggle with the
WIFE of you.

As in dating and relationships: The right person will speak to the king or
queen in you, and not the fool in you.

The Chayil Woman According to Scripture – Provers 31:10-31

Section II: In Proverb 31:10-31 we see 10 attributes of a woman with
manifested CHAYILGlory:

Verses 10-12 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She
does him good and not evil all the days of her life.

2. Initiative

She takes initiative, shows creativity, and is globally connected for possibilities.

Verses 13-15 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands.

kindness.

bread of idleness.

Verse 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he
praises her:

Verse 29 "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all."

10. Godly

She respects and honors God as her priority and Source for creating her values.

Verse 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the
LORD, she shall be praised.

***Look at Proverbs 31:29!!! “Many daughters have done virtuously, but
thou excellest them all” – EXCELLEST – To go up, to arise up, to bring up, cause
to ascend up, to break up the day.
Don’t be so focused on DOING DOWN HERE, that you forget about GOING UP!
Don’t be so focused on connecting, that you forget about CLIMBING.

Don’t be so focused on ARRIVING, that you forget about ARISING! Others’
DOINGS doesn’t equate to your DESTINY.

A CHAYIL Woman knows how to Create and RULE HER WORLD

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to
them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over
the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that
moves on the earth." (Genesis 1:27-28).
The Hebrew word for ‘Dominion’ means to tread down, to subdue; to crumble;
to create; to make; to prevail against, to reign, to rule and to take.

These are all active words that include taking the authority to defend what is
yours (yourself, family, possessions, destiny) and to protect your personal
prosperity and dignity.

10 Examples of Chayil Women in the Bible:

1. Deborah: a Judge and Ruler of Israel who led them in a successful warfare
against the enemy kingdom of Sisera (name means keen and swift
interference). She operated strongly in the prophetic and was a great leader of
generals and priests. She juggled successfully her priorities for the priesthood,
family and her governmental duties.

Judges 4:4-16

2. Jael: The woman who precisely, strategically and methodically
assassinated King Sisera…with ONE MOVE and ONE DECISION by using
what she gained from her life and work experience to bring victory during
war.

Judges 4:17-24 (verse 21, her strength and skill had no doubt been toughened
by a common duty of hammering down pegs to secure tents, or striking them
loose to take down tents.)

3. Esther:from orphan in Persia to Queen and savior of her people. Her grace
and elegance won the heart of the King of Persia and he choose her out of
hundreds of Persian women to become his queen. She had a heart for God and
for His people. She boldly and with great wisdom risked her life as a mediator
between the Israelis and the King of Persia. She fasted and prayed in times of

with someone of a different race.

Apostles, and has given her a feast day every year on July 22! Luke 8:1-3,

9. Mary:A passionate teenager who dared to believe and put her faith in the
Almighty Power of God, in the midst of teenage pregnancy, and became the
mother of Jesus, son of David.

10. Jochabed, a passionate CHAYIL Warrior preserved the life and destiny
of her son, Moses.

“Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, 2 and she became
pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid
him for three months." (Ex 2:1-3).

A CHAYIL Woman like Jochabedknows how tocreate and rule her world.

Her Part – She made a decision to save her son, Moses in spite of risks. She
decidedtocreate a new world for her son and didn’t wait on confirmation to do
it.

God’s Part – God gave her CHAYIL Glory in wisdom, creativity, ability, innovation,
power, passion, favor, miracles and lasting honor.

Results:God guided Moses, her baby, in the Nile River to Pharaoh’s daughter
(his adoptive mother). With wisdom Miriam, Moses' little sister, counselled
Pharaoh's daughter to pay Jochabed to nurse Moses until he was weaned.  This
glorious CHAYIL Woman called Jochabed, was paid by her enemy to nurse
Moses, her son, and toinstill in him his identity as a Hebrew boywith a great
calling in God. (Exodus 2:7-10) From a slave to a prince, Moses grew as a son
ofPharaoh in the king's palace and was groomed as a valiant, wealthy and
powerfulprince of Egypt. With understandingof Egypt's humanitarian issues and
cruelty to the Israelis slaves, Moses was later stimulated and empowered by
God for manifested CHAYIL Glory to become thepassionate and powerful
defender and savior of the Israelis slaves.
